Denver

Brandon Marshall gets engaged in Hawaii.

My take: Perhaps Marshall's wedding engagement is another sign of his maturation. After having several off-field issues that resulted in a one-game NFL suspension in 2008, Denver insiders have praised Marshall for making key personal strides that have helped on him on the field.

Kansas City

Russ Grimm is a leading candidate to be Todd Haley's offensive coordinator.

My take: Grimm would be a nice addition to Haley's new staff. Arizona running backs coach Maurice Carthon and Miami defensive assistant Todd Bowles have also been mentioned as potential members of Haley's staff.

Oakland

Report: Shane Lechler was punched in the face by a teammate.

My take: If massive defensive tackle Terdell Sands indeed socked Lechler on a team flight it could be another indication the Pro Bowl punter is on his way out of Oakland as a free agent. If Lechler isn't given the franchise tag, expect him to leave Oakland.
