"In his over 30 years in football, Frank was a tremendous coach, a beloved teacher and an outstanding person. He will be missed."
The Chargers have announced that cornerback DeJuan Tribble and tight end Scott Chandler were cut on Monday. Tribble was a sixth-round draft pick last season. Chandler was a fourth-round pick two years ago.
There is a report that Chiefs director of college scouting Chuck Cook was let go.
