I don’t see this as a winning situation for the Chiefs.
If Kansas City’s first-team defense contains Wilson, it would be something that should happen and it might not be a big enough test for the Chiefs’ first-unit defense in its most extensive preseason action. However, if Wilson shreds the Chiefs’ defense, it could create doubt as the unit prepares to play Matt Ryan and Atlanta in Week 1.

Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe is practicing in pads for the first time Tuesday. He ended his holdout Friday. Kansas City coach Romeo Crennel said he will soon decide if Bowe will play Friday in the team’s third preseason game.
U-T San Diego reports Chargers’ left tackle Jared Gaither is working on the side as he comes back from a back injury that has kept him sidelined for weeks. The team hopes to get Gaither back for Week 1 at Oakland, and this is a step toward it happening, albeit it a small step.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face rookie quarterback Russell Wilson on Friday. He is starting for Seattle in a game the Kansas City defense has to play well.
