Two wins in 10 years against the Panthers isn't anything to brag about, but the Cardinals have already defeated Carolina once with quarterback Cam Newton. They hope to build on that two years later. A win and Arizona will have its first winning streak against the Panthers since 2001-02.

Series: Panthers lead 8-3.

Last game: Sept. 11, 2011 -- Cards 28, Panthers 21.

First game: Nov. 19, 1995 -- Panthers 27, Cards 7.

Streaks: Cardinals have lost seven of last eight regular-season games against Panthers.

Arizona at home vs. Carolina: 1-4.

Since ... 2003, the Cardinals have not scored more than 23 points in a loss. In both wins, they scored at least 28.

You should know: Newton made his NFL debut the last time the Panthers visited University of Phoenix Stadium, a 28-21 Arizona win.
