TEMPE, Ariz. -- To get it out of the way first, Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Andre Ellington is expected to get as many, if not more, carries as he did last weekend against Houston.

The Cardinals don’t want to overwork Ellington and wear him down, but expect him to be more involved in the passing game Sunday at Jacksonville. If he can break free for another touchdown, he’ll bring smiles to a lot of his fantasy owners.

Ellington’s role in the passing game could further increase because of Michael Floyd’s injury. Floyd returned to practice Thursday and said he will play against the Jaguars, but how effective he will be or how many reps he will see is still unclear.

Larry Fitzgerald will most likely be bracketed and double-teamed, especially if Floyd is limited, so expect Andre Roberts to have another big game. If you see Teddy Williams in the game, it will be to take the top off the Jaguars’ young secondary.

This is where Ellington could be a factor, both lining up wide and coming out of the backfield. His receiving yards may exceed his rushing yards this week.
