TEMPE, Ariz. -- Two of Arizona’s best defenders have a vested interest in Monday night’s BCS National Championship Game between Auburn and Florida State.

Inside linebacker Karlos Dansby played for the Auburn Tigers in 2001-2003, totaling 219 tackles, 10 sacks and eight interceptions. Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett had 10.5 sacks and 247 tackles for the Seminoles under legendary coach Bobby Bowden from 2000-2003.

The two never faced each other in college but Dansby and Dockett were drafted by the Cardinals in 2004 NFL draft.

Arizona cornerback Jerraud Powers also went to Auburn.
