TEMPE, Ariz. -- Larry Fitzgerald might have to curtail his vacation down under a little early.

The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver was named to the Pro Bowl on Sunday afternoon, replacing Denver wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who’ll be playing in the Super Bowl. Fitzgerald was initially selected for the NFL’s all-star game as an alternate.

It’s his eighth Pro Bowl selection overall and his seventh consecutive, which set a new franchise record.

Fitzgerald joins linebacker John Abraham, cornerback Patrick Peterson and gunner Justin Bethel as Cardinals’ Pro Bowlers.
