GLENDALE, Ariz. –As he does every day during training camp, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians addresses the media after the morning walk-through. Here's a recap of what Arians discussed:
Arians said he may “buck the trend” and not play his starters as much as during the preseason as normal. He added that RB Andre Ellington won’t see much playing time this preseason.
Arians hopes John Abraham will return sometime this week and said he hopes Abraham has more than 20 days to prepare before the season opener.
C Lyle Sendlein will miss another week.
Arians said the offense has already started preparing for crowd noise that he expects to be an issue at TCF Bank Stadium in Minnesota on Saturday by using silent counts.
There’s a chance the Cardinals could keep six wide receivers. Arians said he won’t cut talent in the name of depth.
Arians liked what he saw out of Troy Niklas, whose motor was running hotter during the game than it has been in camp, the coach said.
