Just wanted to get a few things out from Bruce Arians' and Carson Palmer's news conferences, and the subsequent locker room access.
Arians announced the captains for this year’s team: Patrick Peterson and Darnell Dockett will be the defensive captains, while Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald will be the offensive captains. Lorenzo Alexander and Jay Feely will represent special teams.
Tackle Nate Potter will spend time this week practicing at guard. As I wrote earlier today, there wasn’t a backup listed behind left guard on this week’s depth chart. Potter played at guard sparingly at Boise State but he’s welcoming the opportunity to get more playing time at guard and tackle.
Tight end Rob Housler’s ankle is still day-to-day. Arians said he doesn’t want to hurry him back.
Safety Rashad Johnson changed his number to 26 from 49.
Arians explained how different the Rams are this year without running back Steven Jackson.
Palmer said, "I’m as comfortable as I can be."
I’ll flush it out and give my take on a few these notes after practice. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments or on my Twitter @joshweinfuss.
