FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- As the Atlanta Falcons continued preparation for Thursday night's matchup with the New Orleans Saints, tight end Tony Gonzalez sat out Tuesday's practice while still nursing a toe injury.

Gonzalez suffered the injury in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks two games back. He played through the play in last Sunday's 41-28 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gonzalez hasn't missed a game since the 2006 season, so he seems likely to endure the pain again and face the Saints, provided he didn't experience a setback against the Bucs.

Also sidelined during Wednesday's practice was rookie defensive end Malliciah Goodman, who contnues to battle a calf injury. Goodman took the field solely to run sprints. He's expected to return to full practice next week in preparation for the Dec. 1 game against the Buffalo Bills in Toronto.

The following Falcons were limited during practice: defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (tricep), quarterback Dominique Davis (knee bruise), defensive tackle Peria Jerry (shoulder), safety Zeke Motta (hand), running back Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle), tackle Jeremy Trueblood (knee/hip), and LB Paul Worrilow (shoulder).
