Let's take a quick run through the headlines on the Atlanta Falcons:

Linebacker Brian Banks added another layer to his unique story Thursday night. His mother was able to see him play football in person for the first time since he was in high school.

Both of Atlanta’s rookie cornerbacks, Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford, came up with interceptions in the preseason finale. These guys took their lumps early on in camp and the preseason, but it looks like they’re starting to catch on. That’s a good thing because the Falcons are expected to give both of them a lot of playing time.

The Falcons finished 0-4 in the preseason, which doesn’t mean a lot. But D. Orlando Ledbetter reports that no team ever has gone 0-4 in the preseason and won the Super Bowl in a 16-game regular season.

Speaking of the 0-4 start, Mark Bradley writes that it’s too early to worry about the Falcons. I agree. They still have some work to do on the offensive line, but this is a team that’s loaded with talent.
