A weekly examination of the Ravens' ESPN.com Power Ranking:
Preseason: 8 | Last Week: 14 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
The Baltimore Ravens slipped another spot even though they were on a bye. This is the Ravens' worst showing in the Power Rankings this year. It's also the lowest the Ravens have ever been ranked since they were No. 16 in Week 14 of 2009.
However, this ranking is a sign of respect from the voters. The Ravens are the highest-ranked team with a losing record (the Titans are the second-highest at No. 18). Plus, Baltimore's three wins aren't as impressive anymore considering the current rankings of the Cleveland Browns (No. 21), Houston Texans (No. 28) and Miami Dolphins (No. 19). As one of six voters on the Power Rankings, I had the Ravens at No. 13.
As far as the rest of the AFC North goes, the Cincinnati Bengals remained at No. 7 for a second straight week, the Browns actually moved up a spot despite losing at Kansas City, and the Pittsburgh Steelers fell two spots to No. 27.
