The Baltimore Ravens defense ranks among the best in two of the most critical areas of the game. The Ravens are the NFL's best defense in the red zone and second best when it comes to third downs.

On offense, the Ravens remain 30th in total yards for the second straight week. Baltimore ranks in the bottom half of the league in all six of the major offensive categories.

Here's a look at where the Ravens rank in team and individual categories after 12 weeks:

OFFENSE

Total yards: 308.8 (30th)

Rushing: 81.7 (27th)

Passing: 227.1 (19th)

Scoring: 20.6 (tied-24th)

Third down: 35.6 percent (19th)

Red zone: 51.4 percent (tied-20th)

DEFENSE

Total yards: 329.0 (10th)

Rushing: 102.6 (11th)

Passing: 226.4 (11th)

Scoring: 19.5 (7th)

Third down: 31.1 percent (2nd)

Red zone: 31.0 percent (1st)

INDIVIDUAL

Passing yards per game: Joe Flacco, 249.0 (15th)

Rushing yards per game: Ray Rice, 45.0 (29th)

Receiving yards per game: Torrey Smith, 78.1 (18th)

Tackles: Daryl Smith, 89 (18th)

Sacks: Elvis Dumervil, 9.5 (7th)
