The Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to have 13 players become unrestricted free agents in March, and three of them fall under the "must sign" category.
This comes from an Insider piece by ESPN's Mike Sando, who identified the 25 free agents who must be re-signed to avoid a significant drop in performance next season. Sando spoke to two agents and two general managers to compile this list.
The Ravens had the most players on these rankings. There are only five other teams who had two free agents on this list: Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
Let's take a look at the Ravens who are on the list:
10. TE DENNIS PITTA
Sando: Pitta returned from a major injury late in the season and might not command more than $4 million to $5 million a year.
Hensley: The Ravens won't let Pitta go elsewhere because they've seen the offense without him. His ability to come back from dislocated hip and play the final four games was impressive. The Ravens will either re-sign him or put the franchise tag on him.
17. DE ARTHUR JONES
Sando: One agent thought Jones might get around $6 million a year.
Hensley: This will be a situation similar to what the Ravens faced with Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe last year. Another team will likely offer a contract to Jones that the Ravens aren't going to be able to match.
25. OT EUGENE MONROE
Sando: Monroe makes the list based largely on positional value. Pro Football Focus ranked him 10th among left tackles in 2013.
Hensley: The Ravens probably will only be able to bring back either Monroe or right tackle Michael Oher. Monroe is considered more of a priority because he played better than Oher and plays left tackle, which is a premium position.
