Differing opinions on Ravens' 2014 win total

By Jamison Hensley

Oddsmakers have put the over-under on the Baltimore Ravens' 2014 win total at 8.5.

Do you think the Ravens will exceed or fall short of that number? Well, it depends on whom you're asking.

According to a SportsNation poll, 57 percent of the 24,000 voters say the Ravens won't reach the nine-win mark this season. My followers on Twitter are a more optimistic bunch. All but one had the Ravens finishing with a winning record in 2014.

Here are some selected comments on Twitter:

@jamisonhensley over, we have improved too much to win that low number of games.

@jamisonhensley Over. Ravens have won 9 or more games 5 of last 6 seasons

@jamisonhensley 8-8 under as a non Ravens fan

@jamisonhensley Over (10-6). Weaker schedule and a healthy OL with Kubiak's system should keep the offense more balanced and consistent.

@jamisonhensley #Ravens easily over, based on Flaccos career. If they had legal sports betting in Baltimore, I'd be all over this.
