Mixed reaction to Ravens drafting Mosley

By Jamison Hensley

The drafting of Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley wasn't celebrated by everyone in the Baltimore Ravens' fan base. There was mixed reaction because the Ravens didn't address their two biggest needs: offensive tackle and safety.

The Ravens missed out on Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin, who was picked one spot before them, and they passed on two of the draft's top safeties in Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Lousville's Calvin Pryor. Inside linebacker wasn't considered a priority because the Ravens re-signed Daryl Smith in the offseason and invented a second-round pick in Arthur Brown.

Here is what fans had to say about the selection of Mosley on Twitter:
@jamisonhensley LOVE IT! 2nd MLB ever by the Ravens , 1st was Ray. Love the way Mosley plays the game. With Daryl being 32, we got younger.

@jamisonhensley Hindsight is always 20/20 but probably should've moved back and gotten somebody like Jimmie Ward plus a pick or two

@jamisonhensley wouldn't have minded trading back and getting ha ha clinton dix we need an fs and there aren't many after 1st round

@jamisonhensley I love the Mosley pick. Feel like he and Arthur Brown can sure up our inside backer spots for yrs.

@jamisonhensley I think I would prefer Clinton-Dix. Safety seemed to be bigger need even if Mosley is a really good player.

@jamisonhensley I don't like the pick.....I LOVE the pick! Dude has great potential in filling in where Lewis left off.

@jamisonhensley it's a sign that brown was a mistake. Too bad the cowboys made a smart pick for once and nabbed Martin

@jamisonhensley must admit I did really want Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Great player that would have made a great pairing with Matt Elam
