My take: The Baltimore Ravens selected their first offensive player of the draft, taking a developmental tight end with the 99th overall pick in the third round. This looks like the Ravens' first reach of the draft. Crockett was considered by ESPN.com the No. 8 tight end in this draft and was projected by some to go somewhere from the fourth to the sixth round. He's the strong blocker that the Ravens needed in Gary Kubiak's offense and has a chance to become a more complete tight end.
Late bloomer: A converted defensive end, Gilmore has played tight end for only three years. He added nearly 50 pounds to his frame since high school. Gilmore has been compared to Arizona Cardinals tight end Jeff King.
What's next: The Ravens head into the final day of the draft looking for a running back, offensive tackle, wide receiver, quarterback and cornerback. They have two compensatory picks in the fourth round (Nos. 134 and 138), a compensatory selection in the fifth (No. 175) and a sixth-round pick (No. 194).
