Here's a few tidbits from Thursday's chat if you missed it:
Luke in Manhattan writes: What kind of TV ratings do you think Texas could have gotten if they made their decision into an ESPN special like LeBron did?
David Ubben: Ha, now that's easily the best chat question I've gotten all summer. But unlike LeBron, I bet Texas would have leaked it beforehand.
Derek in Aggieland, Texas asks: Do you think Jerrod Johnson is the most legitimate Heisman contender in the Big XII?
DU: Yeah, he's the best individual player, but if Texas or Oklahoma run the table, expect DeMarco Murray, Landry Jones and Garrett Gilbert to get some mention late in the season if they have solid production.
Eric in Denver writes: Same question as Miles - headed on the CU Big 12 farewell tour. Where should I go, and are Nebraska fans as "classy" as advertised?
DU: Yeah, the Nebraska reputation isn't a myth. And Memorial Stadium is the best place in the Big 12 to watch a game, especially at night. If you haven't made that trip yet, do it.
Aaron in Howells asks: outside of Nebraska, what other fan bases do you find "classy." I always felt OU was a fairly classy bunch
DU: I don't think there are any who compete with Nebraska. It's really just completely unique. Although, there are at least three fan bases I can think of who fall really, really far on the other end of the spectrum. I'll decline to name them.
Ben in Atlanta asks: Jerrod Johnson and Von Miller were both all world last year, but A&M still stunk! Why should we expect anything different this year?
DU: It's all about the defense, and the Aggies made big time changes and brought in a big time coordinator to facilitate the move to the 3-4. I've said this before, but A&M is going to go as far as its defense will take them.
