The Big 12 has won the Walter Camp Award in two consecutive seasons. Or, perhaps more accurately, Colt McCoy has won the Walter Camp Award in two consecutive seasons.

It's going to be tough for the conference to pull off the three-peat.

Nebraska defensive tackle Jared Crick is the only Big 12 player to make the 30-man watch list for the Walter Camp Award, given annually to the best player in college football.

Crick earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2009 after making 73 tackles, including 15 for loss and 9.5 sacks. He's one of just five defenders on the list.

Nebraska's last Walter Camp winner was quarterback Eric Crouch in 2001.
