Texas A&M ran 99 plays from scrimmage in Saturday's 48-7 win over Stephen F. Austin.

The offense finished with just one penalty -- a five-yard false start -- and no turnovers.

Texas A&M was expected to dominate both sides of the ball and on both lines of scrimmage.

They won't impress anyone by saying they rolled up 539 yards of offense and 33 first downs, but for the Aggies to play 60 minutes of relatively mistake-free football is impressive. The win is indicative of an experienced group -- excluding an offensive line stocked with freshmen -- that should see plenty of success this year.

Jerrod Johnson completed 23 of 35 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns. Both scores were to top target Jeff Fuller, who had four catches for 47 yards. Johnson also ran for a touchdown and had six yards on nine carries.

Christine Michael rushed for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 16 carries. Ryan Swope led the team in receiving, with 13 catches for 106 yards.
