Colorado made a lot of mistakes in its loss to California last week. It's already made two big ones against Hawaii this week.
The Warriors missed a 20-yard field-goal attempt and failed to capitalize on a muffed punt that gave them the ball on Colorado's 3-yard line, but Rodney Stewart fumbled on the next drive. Hawaii took advantage this time, marching 42 yards in three plays -- without ever seeing a second down -- for a touchdown to go up, 7-0, late in the first quarter.
Colorado talked about cleaning up the little things all spring and looked like it did it in the season-opening win against Colorado State.
But turnovers in your own territory are no small mistakes, and more mistakes like those will land the 1-1 Buffaloes at 1-2 by tonight.
