The Big 12 has named its players of the week for Week 3.
Offense: Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State
Weeden threw for 409 yards and six touchdown passes, despite sitting for most of the second half in Oklahoma State's 65-28 win against Tulsa.
Defense: Eric Hagg, S, Nebraska and Curtis Brown, CB, Texas
Both players came away with momentum-changing interceptions. Hagg's came on Washington quarterback Jake Locker's first pass that kicked off Nebraska's first scoring drive. Brown picked off a pass deep in Texas territory and returned it 74 yards, where Texas took the lead for good with a field goal.
Special teams: William Powell, KR, Kansas State
Powell returned four kicks for an average of 29 yards, including a 45-yarder that set up a go-ahead touchdown drive for the Wildcats. He leads the league in kick return average, at 31.7 yards.
