College football is special across the Big 12. I know, because I've been going to games throughout the history of the conference.

What has always captivated me about college football is the involvement of the students themselves.

ESPN The Magazine and its digital home, ESPNTheMag.com, are looking for a student from each of its top four preseason schools: Georgia, Ohio State, USC, and Oklahoma.

And for those students at other schools, don't worry. They might consider somebody from every school if you ask them politely enough. Hopefully, somebody from a Big 12 school will show them what I've experienced the last 12 years.

What would your responsibilities be? You'd get a camera from us. Each week, you'd spend a few hours documenting the atmosphere surrounding your team, including your own thoughts on a video diary. Then, you'd send us the material. We'd piece it together to paint a portrait of a college football season through your eyes.

Is anybody interested?

If so, go to this Web site and upload a video of a minute or less about yourself. Be sure to detail why you should be chosen to represent your school. Remember, you only have a minute or so to do this, so give your reasons quickly to captivate us.

At the same time, so we have your contact information, send an e-mail to us at editor.espnmag@gmail.com. Tell us you uploaded a video and let us know how to reach you.

If we're fascinated, we'll get in touch with you to discuss being part of a truly interactive experience.

And if for any reason you are having problems with the video upload process, post the video on YouTube and send us the URL to the above e-mail address. Put "A Season In the Stands" in the subject line.

The four top preseason schools was our original thought. But we could be swayed, so let everybody enter that thinks they can do it.

We'll be making decisions by August 24, so get to work this weekend. It's not like you have any homework, do you?
