Wildcats capitalize on Cowboys' mistake

October, 30, 2010
Oklahoma State already had a failed fourth-down conversion attempt and a fumble in Kansas State territory.

A second fumble led to a 10-play, 62-yard drive that has Kansas State up 7-0 midway through the second quarter. Kansas State's William Powell finished the drive with an eight-yard run for the score.

It's hard enough to win on the road in conference play. Turning it over twice on an opponent's side of the field is a great way to get upset. No. 17 Oklahoma State's proven it plays its best football in the second half this year, erasing halftime deficits to win three of its first seven games.

This isn't a team that will panic if it's down at the half, but it is one who would feel a lot better about itself if it had a few points on the board when it went into the locker room.
