Final updates from the field

1/1/2011

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Just back in my seat up in the press box from a visit down to the field.

Not much to report. It was business as usual for the Oklahoma Sooners, who come into this game really healthy and missing only freshman reserve running back Roy Finch and defensive tackle Adrian Taylor, both out with major foot injuries.

The BCS bowl losing streak has been a major motivator during the week, but we'll see if that translates into a high-quality performance in this one. Oklahoma sets its bar pretty high with the way it plays at home, and you can bet if this game was in Norman, nobody would give the Huskies a chance.

But this game is in Arizona, and we all know about Oklahoma's struggles in BCS bowl games. The Huskies have a chance to win this, and that will be the first thing that's brought up if they do.

Ted Miller is here with me, and we'll both be chatting here throughout the game.
