The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team has nominated 132 players for this year's team, which honors on-field accomplishments and off-the-field contributions.
Here are the seven Big 12 players nominated:
Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State
Weeden has served as a special needs kids camp volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club of America.
Emmanuel Acho, LB, Texas
Acho has accompanied his parents to various mission trips to Nigeria to help with medical care. His brother, Sam Acho, made the Good Works team last year.
Jake Knott, LB, Iowa State
Knott was nominated for his work in the community following the August 2010 floods in Ames.
Michael Egnew, TE, Missouri
Egnew is active in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program in the community.
Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
Griffin has volunteeded for the Special Olympics and Friends for Life, a daycare for the mentally challenged.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M
Tannehill is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on campus at Texas A&M.
Tysyn Hartman, S, Kansas State
Hartman worked with the Manhattan Emergency Shelter to create the first Tipoff for TP program, which collects donations to help the homeless.
