Maclin, Moore both probable for next game

Missouri WR Jeremy Maclin and S William Moore both are listed as probable for the Tigers' game Saturday in Columbia against Southeast Missouri State.

Maclin suffered a strained peroneal tendon in his left ankle in the fourth quarter of the Tigers' 52-42 victory over Illinois, but X-ray and MRI results revealed no further damage. Moore sprained his foot midway through the third quarter.

"Our training staff will make that decision as the week goes on," head coach Gary Pinkel said on the Big 12's weekly teleconference about Maclin. "He wants to play. Obviously, we're going to do what's right and what's smart. And a final decision will be made mid-week to the end of the week."

WR Danario Alexander, who is recovering from knee surgery, has made a faster recovery than expected and could play Sept. 13 against Nevada. That's three weeks earlier than his initial prognosis, which called for his return when the Tigers begin conference play Oct. 4 at Nebraska.
