Tech's Darrin Moore validating big opener

I'm hesitant to make the comparison, but at this point, it's hard not to. Yes, it was Texas State and now New Mexico, but Darrin Moore is putting up Michael Crabtree-ian numbers through this season.

In the game's first five minutes, he has three catches for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Texas Tech leads the Lobos, 14-0.

Moore opened his season with 12 catches for 221 yards and two scores. So much for a one-hit wonder.

We'll see if he can keep it up in conference play, but early returns on Moore are undeniable: He looks like a bona fide star.

Quarterback Seth Doege has completed his first nine passes for 116 yards and the two touchdowns to Moore.
