It was closer than the final score indicated, but Baylor didn't let last week's frustrations against Kansas State carry over into this week's game against Iowa State.

It was closer than the final score indicated, but Baylor didn't let last week's frustrations against Kansas State carry over into this week's game against Iowa State.

The Bears got back to business and ran away from the Cyclones late for a 49-26 victory.

Terrance Ganaway and Robert Griffin III combined for 307 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, with Ganaway's career-high 200 yards and Griffin's first 100-yard effort of the season.

Baylor kept its distance throughout the game, and after taking 28-14 lead early in the third quarter, never let its lead fall back into the single digits.

Ganaway is doing a fantastic job replacing 1,200-yard rusher Jay Finley from last season, and Iowa State's lopsided loss to Texas last week extends the Cyclones' losing streak to two.

Steele Jantz had another rough outing, with an interception and a fumble that Tevin Elliott returned 86 yards for a touchdown.

Say what you will about Baylor, but I still see the Bears as a factor in the Big 12 race, especially since Kansas State refuses to come back down to earth.

As it stands Saturday night, the Bears' only loss is on the road by a point to a team that may be in the top 15 on Sunday. Not bad.The Bears got back to business and ran away from the Cyclones late for a 49-26 win.
