So, you don't want a rematch?

I hope your pistols are firing. Jump on the Oklahoma State bandwagon and ride it through championship weekend.

After Stanford and Boise State lost on Saturday, two things happened: One, discussion of the possibility of a rematch heated up.

LSU has already beaten Alabama and Oregon away from Baton Rouge. Sure enough, Alabama and Oregon are the teams lurking, hoping for the opportunity for another crack at the Bayou Bengals.

The second thing that happened? By way of their 66-6 win over Texas Tech and spotless 10-0 record for the first time in school history, Oklahoma State became our fine nation's final hope at an undisputed championship game.

Two worthy undefeateds remain, but all the focus has shifted to "What if?"

Oklahoma State can prevent us all from finding out the answer.

Few, if any, thought OSU would be here--this year, or ever. There's a reason for that: It had never happened before.

We heard the same thing about Auburn and Oregon.

"Auburn? They're not getting by Alabama. Sure, the Tide have two losses, but they'll get beat. Bama always does it."

Wham, bam, thank you, Cam. No BCS title game controversy.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Oklahoma State will be the better team in this game with arguably the two best (healthy) players: Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon. It's hosting the game.

History didn't seem to bug Auburn or Oregon last year. Oklahoma State will try to do the same.

Everyone respects OSU's offense, at least against Big 12 defenses. The defense? Underrated and disrespected every week.

Saturday was the seventh time in 10 games Oklahoma State gave up a touchdown or less in the first half. The defense (thanks for the fumble, offense) shut out Texas Tech, a team that hadn't suffered that fate since 1987.

The pieces are all there. Oklahoma State is good enough to do it.

If they do, they'll do the BCS a big favor.
