COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- What was that we were saying about no big mistakes in the second half?

Texas A&M has to make the Longhorns' offense earn every point on the scoreboard, and that's not happening tonight.

Carrington Byndom intercepted Ryan Tannehill and returned the pick 58 yards for a touchdown, cutting the Aggies' lead to 16-14.

A muffed punt helped cue up a trick play TD for the Longhorns in the first half, too.

The way its offense has played tonight, the only way Texas was going to win this game is if Texas A&M made the necessary mistakes -- be the defensive busts or big turnovers like Tannehill's -- to let the Longhorns do it.

So far, the Aggies have obliged, helping give the Longhorns their first defensive touchdown of the season.

Lose this one, and the whispers about second-half failures will reappear, too. The Aggies are 6-5 despite holding a double-digit lead in 11 of their 12 games this year. Texas A&M led 10-0 in the first quarter of tonight's game and has four losses this season after holding double-digit halftime leads.
