South Florida coach Jim Leavitt must give one heck of a halftime pep talk.

His Bulls have run off 24 straight points -- including 17 in the third quarter -- to build a 27-20 lead over Kansas.

All-Big East DE George Selvie is finally becoming a force and the rest of his Bulls have joined in. It's made for a long, hot night for Kansas coach Mark Mangino who is looking steadily more uncomfortable in his windbreaker along the Kansas sidelines.

Baylor is having a better game in Waco, charging to a 35-14 lead over Washington State midway through the third quarter as Robert Griffin added a 58-yard TD run.

The Cougars can't stop Griffin, who has already accounted for 285 yards of total offense.
