As the Texas-UTEP game winds into extensive garbage time, five games will be starting across the conference in a few minutes.
The most competitive game appears to be Army's game against Iowa State. The Louisiana-Lafayette-Nebraska game will be intriguing for the Cornhuskers' 300-game of home sellouts.
Texas A&M will be facing its toughest game of the season against UAB. Oklahoma State will be playing without key offensive contributors Kendall Hunter and Dez Bryant as they meet Grambling. And Baylor hopes for a turnaround when they meet Northwestern State.
It would be a surprise if any Big 12 teams lose any of these upcoming games.
But of course, stranger things happen across college football every week.
The toughest game for the Big 12 will be when Texas Tech travels to No. 17 Houston in a game that will begin at 9:15 p.m.
That's the one I'm waiting for.
