ARLINGTON, Texas -- As far as statement victories go, Arkansas had the kind of conquest that will resound all over the South tonight.
No wonder the chants of "SEC, SEC" were ringing through the Dallas Cowboys' stadium for most of the fourth quarter.
The Razorbacks' 47-19 beatdown of Texas A&M was a complete victory.
Arkansas took advantage of better speed on both sides of the ball to win the game. After spotting the Aggies an early 10-0 lead, they charged back to score 30 points during the rest of the first half and turn the game into a walk.
Saturday's loss proved the Aggies were a little overrated after beating only New Mexico, Utah State and UAB. It wasn't nearly as easy to roll up the monster yards and sacks that had marked those three games against a team from a BCS-affiliated conference.
I'm headed down to the locker rooms to get comments from both sides. I'll check back after the game.
