Here are a couple of Big 12-related recruiting tidbits provided by Tom Luginbill, the national recruiting director for ESPN.com's Scouts Inc.

Outside linebacker Cqualin Hubert (Houston/Eisenhower) committed to sign as part of Iowa State's Class of 2010 Sunday, ESPN's Gerry Hamilton reports.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound prospect selected the Cyclones over scholarship offers from Houston, Miami-OH, New Mexico State and Tulsa.

"It's just like a big family. I feel at home with those guys. The players, coaches and people; it's just like a family. It felt the same way it does at Eisenhower."

At the New Orleans Nike Combine he posted an electronically-timed 4.9 40-yard dash, 4.94 20-yard shuttle, 24.5-inch vertical and 30-foot power throw.

Wide receiver Keith Mumphery (Vienna, Ga./Dooly County) has committed to Michigan State after making an official visit to campus according to coach Jamaal Zanders, ESPN's Brian Stumpf reports.

Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Wake Forest and Nebraska also offered the 6-foot, 195-pound prospect.

Mumphery caught 49 passes for 972 yards (19.8 average) and 10 touchdowns last fall earning Class A All-State, all-region and all-area recognition. He also registered 78 tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.

He is the 13th Class of 2010 commitment for Michigan State and first from outside the Midwest.
