COLUMBIA, Mo. -- It's understandable that Nebraska and Columbia aren't exactly chummy after their recent games that have helped intensify the North Division rivalry.

Players from both teams talked some smack about their opponents coming into the game earlier this week.

Nebraska freshman quarterback Cody Green talked about the importance of snapping a two-game losing streak to the Tigers that has seen them claim the last two games by a combined margin of 93-23.

The Cornhuskers are clear they aren't used to looking up at Nebraska in the North Division standings like they have in the past two seasons.

“It’s Missouri, so we take this personally,” Green told reporters earlier this week.

But the Tigers have fired back some verbal volleys of their own.

“It's a bigger game,” Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander said. “Nebraska's Nebraska. We don't like 'em.”
