NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma has dominated play in the third quarter, but has only three field goals to show for its one-sided thrashing of Baylor since the break.
Oklahoma piled up 161 yards in the third quarter, seemingly driving the ball at will between the 20-yard lines. The Sooners have a 23-7 lead after three quarters.
But touchdowns have been difficult to come by as Sooner drives have stalled at the Baylor 8-, 19- and 4-yard lines. All of those drives have culminated in field goals, but Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops certainly wants more.
Oklahoma will be able to beat Baylor thanks to getting points on those drives, adding to its 14-7 halftime lead.
But Texas assuredly will be another story next week at the Cotton Bowl.
