AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas coach Mack Brown got a chance to do a little early scouting, watching the first half of Oklahoma's victory over Baylor from a television in his office before his team played Colorado later that night.

Brown was particularly impressed with Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, who returned to action after sustaining a third-degree sprained shoulder in the Sooners' season-opening loss to BYU.

Bradford completed 27 of 49 passes for 389 yards and a touchdown, but was victimized by 11 dropped passes by his receivers, including three in the Baylor end zone.

"If I had not been told or known that Sam was hurt, watching him play, I wouldn't have thought he's hurt," Brown said. "He walked out there and threw it just like he did it before he got hurt. He’s back at 100 percent and ready to go."

Bradford and Texas quarterback Colt McCoy have developed a close friendship in recent months after both attending the Heisman Trophy presentation and various awards dinners at the end of last month.

McCoy talked with Bradford after his injury earlier this season, but said he has not contacted him since his return to the lineup. They likely will get a chance to renew their friendship after the game.

"I've talked to him a little bit in the last month since he's been injured, just encouraging him and hoping he feels better," McCoy said. "He's back, so we probably won't say anything this week."
