Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops reiterated after practice Monday night that leading receiver Ryan Broyles will have "a chance" to play Saturday against Texas.
Broyles is recovering from a broken scapula suffered on the second play of the Sooners' Oct. 3 loss at Miami. After continued evaluation throughout the week, Stoops expects to make an announcement about Broyles' availability on Friday.
“I’m not much on hiding anything,” Stoops told reporters after practice. “You have to see how much work and what they’re able to handle. But I would anticipate him being able to."
Broyles' return would be huge for a Sooner receiving corps that struggled with Sam Bradford in his first game back. The Sooners dropped 11 passes, including three receptions in the Baylor end zone in the Sooners' 33-7 triumph over the Bears.
