Johnson streaking through record book in Oklahoma rout

NORMAN, Okla. -- Earlier this week, Oklahoma wide receiver Manny Johnson said he couldn't shake the memory of his first game at Owen Field.
Johnson is making Oklahoma fans forget that 2005 game, a loss to TCU that was the Sooners' most recent home loss, by exacting revenge against the Horned Frogs.
After three quarters, Johnson had already set a school record with 203 receiving yards. His three long touchdown catches sparked Oklahoma's 35-3 lead over TCU.
Johnson snagged touchdown receptions of 73, 55 and 63 yards to key the Sooners' rout. Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford has already blistered TCU with 374 yards passing against a defense that came into the game leading the nation in total defense.
The Sooners' defense has been just as strong, limiting TCU to a field goal and forcing three turnovers with forceful, continued pressure.
The strong performance has given Oklahoma a legitimate claim for the top spot in the polls that will be release Sunday morning.
