Couple of historical tidbits from today's game

DALLAS -- The unexpected 6-6 tie could be explained by the late playing date this season.

This season's game is being played on Oct. 17 -- the latest date for the traditional rivalry since Texas and Oklahoma met on Oct. 17, 1931.

The game also is being played before a sellout crowd of 96,009. I don't see an empty seat anywhere. It's so crowded that the two bands have been placed into glorified holding areas in their respective team's end zones.

Texas defensive tackle Lamarr Houston has left for the Texas locker room. Houston appeared to be favoring his left knee when he left.
