Wednesday? Well, if you play for an offensive line in Oklahoma, it was a pretty crappy day.

Oklahoma State projected starter Michael Bowie violated team rules and chose to leave the team, coach Mike Gundy told reporters.

The news came just hours after Oklahoma announced that Ben Habern, a three-year starter at center, intended to retire from football.

Gundy said he wasn't sure where Bowie intended to play, but the Tahlequah (Okla.) Daily Press noted on Wednesday afternoon that Bowie was seen on campus at Northeastern State University. Bowie didn't commit to transferring there, however.

It's not an enormous loss for Oklahoma State, but it still hurts. Tackle is a position of depth, but Bowie, a juco transfer who cracked the starting lineup late last season, will be tough to replace. Gundy pegged redshirt freshman Devin Davis as his likely replacement, but OSU offensive line coach Joe Wickline has a reputation for shaking things up.

Once fall camp begins later this week, anything could happen.
