The Pac-12 is third, more than 10 points behind the SEC.
That's no surprise yet, though only four of the six BCS computers have released their rankings. For now, the Big 12 is No. 1 in computers and No. 1 in the human polls. The Big 12 ended 2011 as the nation's No. 1 conference, according to the computers, but the SEC had the edge in the human polls.
The Big 12 is 15-2 in nonconference games, but only three of those games have come against BCS conference opponents. The Big 12 has seven games against BCS conference opponents scheduled. The SEC is 15-4 in nonconference play so far.
