COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Mack Brown officially called off the dogs early in the fourth quarter when he inserted backup quarterback Garrett Gilbert into the game with 12:03 left in place of Colt McCoy.

Gilbert took a couple of solid hits, but bounced back to direct a drive capped by Hunter Lawrence's 44-yard field goal that boosted Texas' lead to 41-7.

The game attracted a sellout crowd of 71,004 at Faurot Field. most of those fans are gone as the stadium is barely half-full as we wind towards garbage time for the rest of the game.
