Breaking down the Big 12 Heisman votes

Our ESPN Heisman Watch for Week 7 debuted today, and West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith is holding strong at No. 1. For the second consecutive week, he grabbed the top spot on all 15 ballots, a comfy seat as the unanimous No. 1.

Kansas State's Collin Klein tied Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller with four second-place votes (I voted for Klein at No. 2), but Miller has eight third-place votes to Klein's four, pushing him ahead by 11 points in the poll. Klein grabbed on fourth-place vote, too.

How can only nine voters have Klein on their entire five-man ballot? For shame.

Tavon Austin is the next-highest player in the poll, grabbing three points with a fourth and fifth-place vote. He's tied for 10th place in the voting.

Stedman Bailey is tied for 12th with two points. He grabbed two fifth-place votes, along with Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle, who showed up at fourth place on one ballot.
