Texas' path to the BCS title game became a little clearer Sunday night as the Longhorns jumped past Alabama into the No. 2 position in the weekly standings.

The Longhorns have a .9227 ranking in the BCS poll today. They remain behind Florida (.9918), but in front of the Crimson Tide (.9166).

Texas already controls its destiny, because Florida and Alabama likely will have to meet up to decide the Southeastern Conference championship. All Texas needs to do is keep winning and they will be in the national title game in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 8.

The Longhorns' 41-14 victory over Oklahoma State dropped the Cowboys to No. 19 in the BCS poll. Oklahoma cracked the poll again this week at No. 24 after beating Kansas State on Saturday.
