Iowa State will kick off its spring practice on March 26, leading up to a spring game on April 20. Only Kansas State will begin practice later.
The Cyclones were the lone Big 12 team that hadn't finalized their spring dates as of last week, but it's official now. Being so far north limits when some of the schools in Iowa and Kansas can kick off their 15 allowed practices during the spring if they want the weather to cooperate, so traditionally the northern schools wait a lot longer to start.
Iowa State's spring game will also be on the same day as West Virginia, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. Kansas State's spring game will be a week later on April 27, the last Big 12 team to host a spring game.
