We're counting down the 10 best individual games of any Big 12 player in 2012. Bowl games and nonconference play count, but these are the performances that topped them all at the end of the season.

No. 7: West Virginia RB Andrew Buie vs. Texas

Date: Oct. 6, 2012

Why it's on the list: Buie's season ended up being very average, but on this night, he was anything but. He was elusive and broke a whole bunch of tackles against the Longhorns, despite standing at just 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds. The Jacksonville, Fla., native rushed for 207 yards -- second-most among Big 12 players in 2012 -- and two touchdowns in the Mountaineers' win. He also added three catches for 66 yards, breaking loose in the open field against a Texas defense that looked hopeless against the Mountaineers' attack in the 48-45 win. He averaged almost 7 yards a carry in the win, which propelled West Virginia to a top-five ranking in the polls and earned them a memorable win in the Big 12's biggest venue in the Mountaineers' first trip as a Big 12 member. That capped a great weekend in Austin for the Appalachian invaders, despite the ugliness to come in the six weeks that followed the best win of West Virginia's season.
