Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander, Oklahoma State cornerback Perrish Cox and Kansas State kicker Josh Cherry were named Monday as the Big 12's players of the week. Alexander and Cox were honored for the second time this season and Cox earned his third career designation from the conference. Cherry picked up his first weekly recognition.

Offensive Player of the Week

Missouri WR Danario Alexander, Sr., Marlin, Texas

Alexander produced 10 receptions for 200 yards and a school-record three touchdowns to boost Missouri to a 38-12 triumph over Kansas State. His touchdown catches were from 54, 16 and 80 yards. Alexander recorded 200 yards receiving for the second consecutive week and has 81 receptions for 1,238 yards and 11 scores on the year. He ranks third in the NCAA with 123.8 receiving yards per game, is tied for fifth nationally with 8.1 receptions per game and is third with 11 receiving touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Week

Oklahoma State CB Perrish Cox, Sr., Waco, Texas (University H.S.)

Cox notched two interceptions and broke up three more passes in the Cowboys' 24-17 win over Texas Tech. He also recorded four tackles, including one for a 3-yard loss. The Cowboys held the Red Raiders more than 100 yards below their season average in total offense. Cox leads the nation in passes defended (2.11) and is a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Kansas State K Josh Cherry, Jr., McCook, Neb.

Cherry made a career-high and Big 12 season-best four field goals in four attempts for the Wildcats against Missouri. He tied his career-long with a 47-yarder in the first quarter. After beginning the season 2-for-7 in field goals, Cherry has converted 10 of his last 11 attempts and is 10-for-11 in Big 12 action and 12-for-18 for the season. He became the first KSU kicker to make four field goals in a game since Brooks Rossman made four against Colorado in 2007.
