Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said Monday he's apprehensive about his team's approach to Saturday's game against Iowa State.
The Cowboys lost a hard-fought 28-24 game at No. 1 Texas on Saturday. OSU had a chance to win the game when Zac Robinson's desperation pass was batted away by Texas defensive back Curtis Brown on the final play of the game.
"It always concerns you," Gundy said. "We have a lot of leadership and maturity on this team. We have a lot of young players who don't have a lot of game experience who are contributing. And we also have several players who are mature and understand.
"You can't get too high or too low. And I'm confident they will come back and practice well."
Gundy blamed himself for the team's loss immediately after the game, but said that he expects his team to rebound against the Cyclones.
"We would have liked to have finished the game and won," Gundy said. "I was very proud of our football team and the way they competed. We ask them to prepare hard and practice hard, and we ask our coaches to do the same. We ask them to give us a great effort on Saturday and they did that. We just came up a little short."
